Mitchell J. Wharton, an accomplished educator, researcher and clinician, has been named the School of Rochester School of Nursing’s new affiliate dean for equity and inclusion, pending approval by the Office of the Provost.
The appointment of Wharton, an assistant professor of scientific nursing and faculty selection officer on the school, shatters glass ceilings on the school: he has grow to be the first male and the first explicit individual from a gaggle underrepresented in nursing to serve on the affiliate dean diploma of senior administration.
